Newsweek has come out with a fascinating article titled The Bible: So Misunderstood It's a Sin revealing how it's been manipulated over the millennia to fit what believers wanted it to reveal.
After reading this I most certainly have to agree with Mark Twain, "If Christ were here there is one thing he would not be -- a Christian."
I may have doubts about whether or not there is something beyond us but I am most definitely an atheist regarding all the manmade religions like Christianity that has plagued us throughout so much of our existence.

History of All Religions
Came across this a while back and forgot to post it *sigh*
In the era of ignorance, as there was no science, yet there was a need for explanations as to why humans existed or why there were seasons or earthquakes or thunderstorms etc. what we did have were storytellers who invented superheroes that they called gods. All over the Earth various tribes developed their own god or gods often borrowing from other tribes as we can see here in this fascinating diagram of The History of All Religions. It is now time to put aside these manmade religions and grow up.
